Chittagong Bangabandhu Tunnel Project
Tunnel Project in Chittagong is a massive project in Bangladesh that is the first vehicle tunnel project in South Asia That will be connected to Dhaka- Chittagong- Coax’s Bazar with Traffic free connectivity. It is a 3.32Km long main tunnel Overall it is 5km with the connecting road end of east and West of tunnel. There is also an overbridge 727m in length. All types of vehicles will run on the tunnel way especially containers, Bus, Truck, motors etc. It will cut the time by shortly go bus or truck on the easy way process.

China President Xi Jinping and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina laid the foundation stone of the project on October 14, 2016. The Exim of bank of China is giving tk 5,913.19 core at an interest rate of 2 percent, While Providing the rest Bangladesh government. Officially inaugurated in 24 February 2019 by the Prime minister Sheikh Hasina. Deputy minister says the first riverine tunnel project name will be the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh mojibor Rahman Tunnel and Prime minister accept it. This is the first tunnel in Bangladesh under the karnaphuli river. You know 80 percent work has completed and we hope it will be finished work end of this year about December 2022.
Final Word:
It is big project in Bangladesh. When it is completed Chittagong economic jone will be huge changed. Already all the land surface both side price high. Different Chinese company and other many company interested to built industries side the river. Overall it will be safe time and life will better than before.
